A Message from Your Chapter President: Todd Sims
September 1992, I looked across the Chesapeake Bay and contemplated returning to Texas. My wife, Gina, and I had just spent the last two hot and humid weeks living in a tent on the beach because we had no where else to stay. Our efforts to secure work had met with little success so far. We had come to Virginia in faith to attend Regent University. Now, the little money we had come with was all gone. The question of returning to Texas in defeat was answered pretty easily by our empty bank account. We didn’t have the money to go back now even if we wanted to. Homeless, jobless, and broke, we needed a miracle.

Chapter Activities
For the past several months, the Dallas-Fort Worth alumni chapter has been hosting a networking lunch the second Tuesday of each month, alternating locations each month between Dallas and Fort Worth. Chapter president, Todd Sims, developed the idea as he saw a need for local alumni to gather on a regular basis to support one another as they seek to carry out Regent's mission in their various career fields.
During the luncheon, each alumnus has the opportunity, but not the obligation, to give a short greeting to the chapter and are encouraged to use the time to briefly inform members about their business, ministry, or vision or share a need with the group.
