Kerriel Bailey is an advocate for children as a Guardian Ad Litem in Virginia Beach, and her persistence in seeking justice for the kids she represents precipitated her award as “Champion for Children” in the legal field in 2014.

Topher Murphy (SPC '08)
Topher Murphy graduated with his PsyD from Regent in 2008 and has served as a Psychologist both in the US Army in the in the Department of Veterans Affairs over the past 9 years. When he was just 14, he was diagnosed with two different types of cancer, Burkitt’s Lymphomia and Leukemia. The assistance Topher received in overcoming this challenge during chemotherapy was what first inspired him to pursue a career in psychology.

Ed Lee (DIV, '17)
Ed Lee is the Vice President of Social Responsibility and Chaplain for the YMCA South Hampton Roads Virginia. He has made an incredible investment by working with the Y for 35 years. He started off fresh out of college at Old Dominion University with an internship that later lead to his first full-time employment as a Program Director at the Mount Trashmore location.

Amy Modglin (CAS '13 & SBL '16)
Amy Modglin is a passionate speaker, coach, and trainer. She holds positions as an Executive Director with The John Maxwell Team, the owner of Modglin Leadership Solutions, and a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.

Luke Moon (RSG '10)
Luke Moon (RSG ‘10) is the Deputy Director of The Philos Project, a non-profit that is dedicated to fostering positive Christian Engagement in the Middle East and becoming a hub for leaders who are engaging in that region of the world.

Anthony Brown (CAS ‘09) and his wife Diane are the proud owners of a new business called Cookie’s Cakes & More in the Norfolk, Virginia area. Here they provide a unique combination of custom cakes, cookies, specialty cupcakes, and ice cream sundaes.

In early April, Jeff Radford ’07 (School of Business & Leadership, DSL) was awarded the Select Medical Way Servant Leader Award, an award given to the Select Medical CEO who embodies the values of servant leadership. The award was presented at the company’s annual CEO/Medical Director conference.

John and Corrie Mannion (CAS, '11 and '13)
John and Corrie Mannion (CAS, ’11 and ’13) have ventured into the world of authorship with a goal in mind and a story to share. They are the co-authors of two marriage books, have been featured in a Relevant Magazine article, and currently host an ongoing blog called A Home Firmly Planted.

First-grade teacher Heather Waild (SOE '16) loves reading, and it is her passion for reading and literacy that lead the Virginia State Reading Association to chose her as the 2017 Reading Teacher of the Year.
