Tania Schuppius ('12)
Overcoming Lives Ministries, Inc. (OLM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowers people by providing services that foster self-sufficiency. Tania Schuppius, President of OLM states, our goal is to shape people for the glory of God by ministering to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. OLM ministers to people’s physical needs by providing food and clothing; emotional needs are met by providing counseling, encouragement, and comfort; and spiritual needs are addressed by reconciling people with God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The organization started in 2007 by ministering to and providing toiletries to women at Shepherd’s Cove, a women's shelter in Capital Heights, Maryland, and by sharing God’s Word at a nursing home. OLM's desire is to touch the world for Jesus by reaching out to surrounding communities in the DC Metropolitan area and addressing global needs abroad. When serving as the Women's Ministry Coordinator at her church, Renewal Christian Center, from 2005-2009, Tania realized she had a burden to heal the hearts of women with God's Word. OLM’s passion is to break the deception of the enemy over women's lives so they can find their spiritual identity and be transformed to reach their full potential in Christ. As a Christian leader, Tania desires to change the world in all she does by putting God's presence first and believing that all other things will be added, according to Matthew 6:33.
Tania lives with her loving husband and four wonderful kids in Silver Spring, Maryland. Tania currently serves as a Youth Leader at her church, Renewal Christian Center, in Landover, Maryland.
